Oneil Mairs...arrested for second degree murder

Avalisa Morris
Imagine having a party at your home and uninvited guests decide they wanna be a gangster and shoot
up the place. Well, it happened.

Beautiful bank teller, Avalisa Morris, 26,  planned a surprise birthday party for her close friend in the St. Albans section of Queens, New York. She even went out of her way to cook the food for the event. Oneil Mairs, was not invited to the party but showed up unannounced.

He and a female guest previously were in a dispute. Avalisa threw him out and locked the basement door to where the party was being held. Rage and furor got the best of Mairs when he couldn't get back inside the party. He fired two rounds through the basement door, hitting Morris in the head and in the abdomen. She fell to the floor and died.

Mairs, who is from Jamaica, was charged with second degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment. He is awaiting trial.
