Mark Reed aka McKoy Smith, suspected of leading a drug cartel, was
arrested in Orange County Florida. According to deputies, a drug dog
hit on the car he was driving after it was pulled over during a traffic stop.
Deputies say nearly $300,000 was found in a box inside of the car.Investigators believe that the cash is tied to an operation by Jamaican drug smuggling ring that was broken up just a couple years prior in which agents seized more than 3,000 pounds of marijuana from stash houses across central Florida. Investigators said they believe the cartel imported the marijuana from Mexico by mail, freight, car and RV.

Agents also seized cash, weapons and
arrested more than 50 people, including suspected ring leaders Mark Reed and
Charmaine Roman. Authorities said Reed and Smith are the same person. In
fact, authorities are not too sure about the true identities of the
suspects. Court records show Reed, who also goes by Terence Turbe, was
released on bond after agreeing to a plea deal in May.
Reed was facing 110 years in jail during the last case and is currently in police custody.
