Devon Samuels..arrested and sentenced for gun and drug smuggling

They say it's good to have friends in high places, but this friend in a high place turns out to be crooked U.S. customs agent, Devon Samuels.

Samuels took an oath to serve and protect, but violated this oath when he was charged with laundering drug money, smuggling cash to an undercover agent in Jamaica and attempting to bring weapons onto an aircraft by using his clearance at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, in Georgia. 

Authorities also found ecstasy tablets in his home valued at more than $2.8 million. Samuels' wife, Keisha Jones, and other accomplices were also arrested. Jones was a Delta airlines employee.

Devon Samuels, 45, waas charged with laundering drug money, smuggling cash to an undercover agent in Jamaica and attempting to bring weapons onto an aircraft by using his clearance at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He’s also accused of taking a $500 bribe to help convince immigration officials that a sham marriage was legit.

Samuels  was sentenced to 8 years in prison. His common-law wife, Keisha Jones was sentenced to 6 months house arrest.
